After a promising race win in the 2003 French Junior ICA Championship, Florian Alfano began making a name for himself on the international circuit in 2004, when he was one of the leaders in the ICA category.
This groundwork soon started to produce results, with victory on the La Conca international track and a place on the podium in the opening race of the European Formula A championship race at Angerville. He won two more victories for his partners at the end of 2005 at the Industry International Karting Trophy meeting in Parma.
In 2006, Florian joined the PSM team. Pierre Gilbert's squad had an official partnership with the Italian kart manufacturer PCR, and Florian finished 3rd in the famous Margutti Trophy in March. But at mid-season, the management of the team decided that Florian would turn to Sodi, and Vega tyres. The young man from Montpellier produced strong results and finally took 3rd place in the French Championship. Then he joined Sodi's works team for the Champions Cup in El Vendrell. Florian proved himself fast and professional again in Spain, and a few weeks later, Sodi's head Gildas Mérian announced that he would be part of his works line-up for the 2007 French, European and World Championships in the new top level KF1 category.
Florian Alfano also became distributor for Sodi chassis and parts, and Box's racing equipment in the South of France where he lives. Click here to visit "Florian Pro Team Racing"'s home page.
